This peak is one of the most striking among the several granite monoliths that rise from the sea in Rio de Janeiro. A glass cable car runs along a 1 400-meter route to take visitors to the Sugar Loaf observation point, where Post Tour attendees will have the opportunity to watch the sunset and enjoy a cocktail dinner with a unique panoramic Rio de Janeiro view.

Lodging at Rio de Janeiro

The unique Belmond Copacabana Palace Hotel, located in front of Copacabana Beach, is one of the best and most traditional hotels in Brazil. It was built more than 100 years ago by Joseph Gire, who also built the Negresco Hotel in Nice and the Carlton Hotel in Cannes. The cost of accommodation is included in the Post Tour registration fee.

Post Tour attendees should arrive in Rio de Janeiro on April 28 no later than 3 p.m. to join the program. 

  • Due to the low season, the number of flights from Foz do Iguazu to Rio de Janeiro on April 28 has been reduced. Please book your flight as soon as possible.

  • Please notify IAAPA ([email protected]) of your flight choice in and out of Rio so we may arrange airport transportation.
